BUSINESS DESCRIPTION

Licensed in 2003, Matthew found a new life passion in helping people with their housing needs.  A self-proclaimed “training junkie”, Matthew dived into every opportunity to learn and grow in his new endeavor. 

Matthew married Susan in 2007, and then one year later, as the housing market turned, he pursued a lifelong interest in aviation and the military by enlisting in the North Carolina Army National Guard.  A remarkable journey in uniform led to OCS and US Army flight school, as Matthew learned to pilot UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters.

Returning to the real estate business in 2013, Matthew developed a Team of 6 brokers.  Together with his Team, Matthew closed over $34M in sales in 2017.

In January 2018, Matthew opened his own office, added new team members, and has aggressive goals for 2020 and beyond.

Matthew Hanks, Realtor®, Broker/Owner of Hanks Realty Group is a husband, father, brother, and friend.  Military veteran, business coach, and entrepreneur.  Golfer, hiker, biker, adventurer.  Creative outlets: photography and videography.  Interests: technology, gadgets, innovation, and engineering.  Serves on the Board of Directors of Piedmont Community Charter School and advisory board for Pharr YMCA in McAdenville.  Matthew lives, works, and plays in Gaston with his wife, Susan, and their three young children: Gabe, Anna, and Jonah.
